Stumbled upon this one accidentally while researching titles for my own book. Blurb showed promise so I downloaded it, and I'm glad I did. It had all the elements I love in a book: a sweet love story with enough heat to make it interesting, a devoted mother, an adorable child, a looming tragedy, and enough family and friends to add humor and drama to the story.Jocelyn is an attractive single mother with health issues that could possibly affect her future. Her main concern is for her daughter, Olivia, an adorable toddler with a knack for making anyone and everyone fall into love with her. Trust issues stem from having her former husband walk out on her as soon as she announces her pregnancy. What a prince. She replaces her ex easily enough with a wolf/German Shepherd mix puppy named Monty and talks herself into thinking he's the only male she needs in her life.
Andrew is your average hunky security guard, used to having women throw themselves at him at the clubs and events he's hired to protect. One look at his new neighbor and he's instantly smitten...with both mother and daughter. It seems natural, comfortable even, to entwine himself into their lives. It's easy to become Jocelyn's best friend...the difficult part is remaining friends when all he wants is to be her everything.
The story is told in alternating first person points of view, not my favorite to read to begin with. Despite that, and the narrative feel of it, the story kept me wanting to read more. It was a sweet, with touchingly poignant moments that brought me to tears one moment and had me smiling the next. A very enjoyable read and I highly recommend it.
Well done, Ms. Wilde.

Joss has a secret when she meets her sexy neighbor, Andrew. She has a toddler named Olivia and a dog named Monty. I was won over quickly by the story (and maybe the cover, too). Once I read the sample on , I 1-clicked immediately and started reading.
Joss is sick with something not revealed until later. Her past experience s have left her cautious with men, especially because of her daughter. I fell for the romance that had time to build between Andrew and Jocelyn. How he was with her daughter and dog... Melt!
There were some interesting side characters and then her illness became an issue. I found myself in tears as this group of people tried to make their way to becoming a family. I enjoyed the writing, the dialogs, Liv's attempts at speaking and even Monty's input.
Heartbreaking and heartwarming. Some sex. Lots of romance and story. There were times I wanted to shake Joss to open up to Drew, but with so much at stake, I understood her reluctance.
I enjoyed it. So glad a blogger posted it on Facebook and I was smart enough to read it. Our Time reminds us how precious time, family, Friends, and love all are.
3.5 - 4 Stars
When Jocelyn moves into her new townhouse, she didn't expect her neighbor to be a very sexy single man named Andrew. After a particularly extended night at work, Andrew doesn't expect to be awakened shortly after having fallen asleep by his extremely attractive new neighbor and her adorable daughter. Jocelyn wasn't looking for another relationship. Her divorce left her turned off on trusting another man, especially with her daughter, but Andrew just wouldn't or couldn't stay away. The two become friends who after a very long courtship fall in love. But Jocelyn has a secret she still has not shared with Andrew that she is afraid will drive him away. When he does find out, things get a little strained as they each handle the situation badly.
As a mom, I can definitely see where Jocelyn was coming from as it relates to a stranger attempting to get close to her small family. On the other hand, when you start a relationship with someone and it evolves into something serious, honesty, especially about a life threatening disease isn't something you keep secret from your significant other.
The story itself moved along at a good pace and the ending was beautiful. Some of the writing was a little off, but overall I did find myself immersed in the story.
First, I'm going to start off why I only gave this book a 4 star instead of a 5 star, but... I did enjoy reading this story and will conclude why I like this book.
You could tell that the author isn't quite yet a seasoned writer. Some authors know how to draw you into a story where it feels like you are a part of the journey, not just reading a story. I felt like I was reading the story, not a part of it. The secondary character relationships could have been developed more, for example Andrew and Tyler were best friends, but not once in the book did they ever carry on a conversation. I like when secondary characters come alive, I didn't feel like that happened in this book The beginning of the epilogue did not add to the story, it implied something wrong when it really wasn't. That was more of an irritation for me. The second part of the epilogue was needed and provided closure.
But But But...... I really did enjoy this book due mostly to the story line and the main characters Both Andrew and Jocelyn were just good real people, people that you would encounter in real life. People that you could respect. (I am getting so tired of authors main male character being a reformed womanizer... uggg... I have decided never to read those stories again.) Which is why this book was refreshing. The story line was honest and emotional, plan on crying because your heart strings will be pulled. And Olivia, Jocelyn's daughter, she just pulled the story together. I believed the story, which is why I so enjoyed reading this book. And spoiler alert It has a happy ending (even if the epilogue tries to trick you into thinking it might not). Good Read.
